Jim brings more than 30 years of technology experience and client-centered service to his role as CEO of TNSC. Prior to launching TNSC, Jim’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for technology led him to co-found Personal Computer Technology Group in 1983, the first computer rental company in Connecticut, where he served as president until 1992. From 1993 until 1996, Jim was Vice President of Network Technology for Maplecrest Software Development, where he initiated, developed, and led their IT infrastructure practice.

 

In addition to his responsibilities at TNSC, Jim was chosen for the Knights of the IT Roundtable, Bass Hotel and Resort’s Technology Advisory Board, and chaired BHR’s High Speed Internet Access Solution Selection Committee. Jim’s immersion in technology also includes founding the Hospitality Technology Consortium, a profitable venture that operated from 1999–2002, and the launch of Homeology in 2005, which specializes in providing integrated system automation solutions to homes and businesses.

Jim is a frequent speaker at domestic and international hospitality conferences on emerging technologies in the hospitality industry and has had several articles published on emerging hospitality and business technologies.

Jim has an extensive record of active volunteerism in the community and with faith-based organizations. Currently, he is Chairman of the Board at Western Connecticut Health Network (formerly known as Danbury Hospital), and has served as chair on multiple committees including the Governance Committee, the Technology Advisory Council, and the Planning Board.

He is a member of the Western Connecticut State University Ancell School of Business Advisory Council and serves on the IT Advisory Board for Ability Beyond Disability. In addition, Jim is the founding chairman of the Samaritan Health Center, a low-cost pediatric clinic in Danbury serving the primary care needs of more than 1,000 children. Each year, more than 500 business and civic leaders attend the Western Connecticut Prayer Breakfast, which Jim founded and chairs. Jim received his degree in economics from Amherst College.

Barry Remor

Barry Remor

Manager, Strategic Business Development

Barry Remor has been with The Network Support Company (TNSC) since 2000. Soon after joining the company, he successfully launched TNSC’s Florida office and in 2001 transitioned the ISP division from Connecticut to Florida. Barry manages the ISP Division, Data Center, and interacts with local clients in the Orlando region on their technology needs. Prior to joining TNSC, Barry was the Director of Information Systems for New Castle Hotels and Resorts in Shelton, CT. His professional experience also includes being the Technical Manager for Elgin Marble in Vero Beach, FL and serving as the IT Manager for South East Diving Institute (SEDI) in Fort Pierce, FL. At SEDI Barry was responsible for a computer network spanning 11 locations across Florida.

Barry has an A.S. in Computer Aided Design from Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce, FL. He is also a PADI certified Open Water Scuba Instructor.

Chris Morton

Chris Morton

Director of Technical Services

chris-mortonAs Director of Technical Services, Chris oversees many of our technical resources, including Managed Services, Business Acceleration Services and TNSC’s Research and Development initiatives. Chris has more than 15 years of experience in the IT field. Prior to joining The Network Support Company in 2005, he worked for CVS as a Lead Information Systems Technician.

Chris holds multiple technical certifications as well as a B.B.A. degree in Management Information Systems and a Masters of Business Administration from Western Connecticut State University.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys most outdoor sports and has an extreme passion for skiing, hiking and obstacle racing.

Donna Tomascak

H.R. Manager

donna-tomascakDonna Tomascak oversees all aspects of The Network Support Company’s human resources. She is also a champion of TNSC’s active involvement in community service. Donna has worked in human resources for 25 years and has gained experience in all aspects of HR across several industries, including manufacturing, publishing, non-profit, and technology. Donna began work for The Network Support Company in 2002 under a consultative relationship, and after two years joined TNSC as a permanent team member.

 

Donna has a B.A. degree in Psychology from Western Connecticut State University and an M.B.A. from The Lubin School of Business at Pace University.

Erik Granfors

Erik Granfors

Manager of Purchasing & Telecom Services

erik-granforsAs Purchasing Manager for The Network Support Company (TNSC), Erik Granfors brings more than 10 years of experience in IT with TNSC. Since 2001, Erik has managed the procurement of products for TNSC, and is responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with key hardware, cabling, and software partners. Before joining TNSC, Erik was a warehouse manager for a local Ford Motor Company distributor, where he oversaw an extensive inventory of automotive parts.

Erik earned a B.S. degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Nancy Toussaint

Nancy Toussaint

Accounting Manager

nancy-toussaintNancy Toussaint has spent 30 years in the technology industry and brings the same number of years to her accounting experience. Nancy has been with The Network Support Company since 1996. She and her staff maintain all accounting requirements for clients and partners, and can answer all questions related to billing and payments.

Nancy holds a B.A. from The University of Connecticut.

George Emond

George Emond

Telecom Manager

george-emondGeorge Emond has more than 25 years of project and branch management experience in the cabling and telecom field. He holds a T1 Electrical Limited Contractor license and multiple certifications in design and installation. Since 2007, George has been responsible for the sales and operations of all large-scale multiple system installations for TNSC’s Telecom Department, as well as the fast-tracking of construction projects within the private and public sectors.

George’s specialized training includes certifications in designing and installing Berk-Tek/Ortronics and Panduit & Corning structured cabling solutions along with extensive knowledge of outside plant, copper and fiber installations, and the design of audio, video, CCTV, security, VoIP, satellite, voice, data, OSP and DAS systems.

Todd Badillo

Service Delivery Manager

todd-badilloAs the Service Delivery Manager, Todd Badillo oversees the day to day operations of the service delivery department. Todd has been with The Network Support Company for over 5 years where he started as an Account Manager and single point of contact for over 100 clients. Prior to joining The Network Support Company in 2008, Todd worked for a startup physical therapy software company where he held several roles from leading go live deployments to sales to 2nd level technical support.

Todd has his B.S. degree in Kinesiological Sciences from the University Maryland. Todd is also certified in ITIL Foundation, which focuses on the service lifecycle of IT related processes.

Alan Chandler

Director of Client Services

10-alan-chandler1Alan Chandler  is our Director of Client Services.  In this role Alan works closely with TNSC clients to ensure that technology is leveraged to maximize business efficiency and continuity. Alan manages technology projects for multiple clients, as well as build outs for Hotel Management companies. Before joining TNSC, Alan worked for Commodity Trading Companies and Banks, such as AIG Trading Group, Sempra Energy Trading and the Royal Bank of Scotland for the past 20 years. Alan’s held many positions, such as Systems Administrator, VP Global IT Operations and CTO.

Alan has a B.A. from the State University of Brockport in Finance and Economics.
